On October 24th, Röda Sten was turned into a temporary local radio station broadcasting electronic and unique live music for Klubb Dånk! Short-range FM transmitters and receivers got spread around the space and formed a radio channel serving as sound system for the evening’s live artists and DJs. This evening also started with the 4th edition of Dorkbot-GBG.
United Modulations: a large number of electronic solo acts challenged the sound system’s limits and opportunities in a concert marathon.
Curly Lou gave the audience a chance to relive a magic moment from 1907 when the Swedish opera singer Eugenia Farrar became the first person to sing on radio. Another act to unearth memories was Nim who performed on cassette walkmans and found super-8 films.
DJs Miss Cmy, Riri and VJ NYX provided irresistible techno and psychedelic visuals for the late hours.

About the Artists
NYX is a VJ artist who just got accepted for a residency at Pixelache in Helsinki. She has worked with the Göteborg techno scene in joint effort with the clubs Kraft, The Eye, Dismas, Minimal Effort, New Elka, Scenario, Genau and Enfants.
Miss Cmy plays irresistable tech house, Detroit, minimal, hard and warm techno, with the occasional dub rhythm. She is a resident DJ at The Docks and Stearin and is about to release a single on the Paris label Mad Bros.
United Modulations is a concert marathon featuring Fredric Bergström, Tsukimono, Mikael Enqvist, Fujasaki, Amber8, Michael Idehall and Martin Heuser.
Curly Lou performs emotional melodies from the 20th century’s first half, taking you back to glory days and lost moments of the past. Her performance will give the audience a chance to relive a magic moment from 1907 when the Swedish opera singer Eugenia Farrar became the first person to sing in radio.
Fredric Bergström is a sound artist, musician and member of several bands such as the death jazz / noise group Läder. At Dorkbot he will show his hurdy gurdy (bowed stringed musical instrument, vevlira in Swedish) processed by iphone and computer. (Presents at Dorkbot and performs live.)
Alex Berman a.k.a Nim performs live with cassette walkmans serving as musical instruments and simultanously as video players for found super-8 film. By manipulating the walkmans mechanically and processing the signal with guitar effects, rhythm and distorsion in video and audio is achieved. (Presents at Dorkbot and performs live.)
Riri is one of Dånk’s resident DJs.
Video documentation from Oct 24:
Oj! Festligt att det dykt upp videos. Lite osis att det bara var sista 30 sekunderna av min spelning, men jag ser förståss lite av glädjen med att få köra samplingar med ordföljden “angel, begging jazz asshole” bli förevigat också
