Richard Widerberg is a new media artist and designer and freelance researcher living in Göteborg, Sweden. He has a background working with new media production, organizing events, making radio, doing sonic works, and playing music. Richard’s main focus during the last years has been to investigate the many dimensions of sound and listening. Also related to his sonic works are works that deal with location, mobility, interaction and social exchange. Richard has a strong interest in new forms of copyright and distribution of both music and sound as well as open-source development. He is also an active musician.

Richard is working part time as a teacher at the C:Art:Media Master’s programme at Valand school of Fine Arts in Göteborg.

Richard holds a Master of Arts in New Media from Medialab, University of Art and Design Helsinki.
