Ingvar Kamprad, the legendary founder of everyone’s favourite furniture company IKEA, will be keynote speaker at the next NordiCHI, the international nordic conference about human-computer interaction! How awesome is that?!
Being myself an HCI researcher, former IKEA co-worker and complete nerd when it comes of all things that require you to assemble them yourself, I can’t help but to feel triple-excited about this. I wonder what Kamprad would do if he got into the HCI business. Perhaps something similar to this? Or this? Who knows. Too bad I won’t be there for his keynote though.
Go Kamprad!
NordiCHI will take place in Lund, Sweden, between 20-22 October. Other highlights of the conference include a workshop about robot-human interaction held by Dr. Sara Ljungblad (who happens to be a former IKEA co-worker as well!) and others.
