IMPROVe at Vetenskapsfestivalen

During Vetenskapsfestivalen (The International Science Festival) in Göteborg in mid April Richard was running IMPROVe mobile sound workshops for teenagers, had a presentation and an IMPROVe concert. The workshops were held in cooperation with Musik i Väst.

It was the first time Richard had workshops for teenagers so the start was a bit chaotic. But the second day was better and the third day was a success. The workshop participants created excellent pieces of improvised music using the pre-recorded concrete sounds.

The last day ended with a concert and open workshop in Bältespännarparken. During the last day’s workshop and concert we received a lot of media interest towards the concept:

Local radio P4 was there as well as a reportage and an article on national radio P1.

There was also an article in the morning paper Dagens Nyheter about the concert.
