Swedish record label Fang Bomb is releasing a compilation called ‘Gothenburg 08‘. Following up on its predecessor ‘Gothenburg 84′ released in 1984, the record is meant to be a polaroid or time-capsule of the electronic music scene of Göteborg - Scandinavia’s capital for experimental music - as it looks like at the moment.

Although it misses out on a few awesome bands from this scene (Echodeck, etc), the compilation is a good reflection of what is going on in the city at the moment, with tracks from some of the best local electronic music acts: The Skull Defekts, Porn Sword Tobacco, Anders Dahl, Jasper TX, Dead Letters Spell Out Dead Words, Joel Brindefalk, Viktor Sjöberg & Jonas Lindgren, Tsukimono and Sewer Election.

The record is having a release party at Ballroom, Henriskberg on 26th June at 21.00, with several of the bands featured in the record performing live (entrance fee 100kr, CD included).
