Bienvenido a Tijuana!

Oscar from Dånk! and the visual artist Stina Östberg were in the border city of Tijuana producing an art-piece for their upcoming exhibition “Why is it so hard to reach out?”. The visual artists used the U.S-Mexico border, to produce a public piece which documentation will be shown at El Museo de la Ciudad de Querétaro this 28th of November 2008.

United States-Mexico border - better known in Tijuana as “El bordo” or “La linea” - is a huge steel wall or barrier designated to prevent illegal immigration and drug smuggling into the US. It is strategically placed along the 3,141 km of border between Mexico and the US, and it is also a characteristic aesthetic of almost all the Mexican border cities with the USA.
