Vélophonik Workshop @ GBG Energi Festival
In this workshop, you can convert your bike into a musical instrument. We help you connect a generator to a recycled speaker. Riding these bicycles result in loud noises that vary according to speed, gear level and bicycling style. All powering and sound comes from riding the bicyle, no computers or external power is used. Together we create a bike orchestra which performs towards the end of the workshop. Please bring your own bike. We provide generators and speakers to borrow but if you want to keep your new bicycle instrument then you should bring your own generator and speaker! We end the workshop with a concert. IMPROVe at Vetenskapsfestivalen
During Vetenskapsfestivalen (The International Science Festival) in Göteborg in mid April Richard was running IMPROVe mobile sound workshops for teenagers, had a presentation and an IMPROVe concert. The workshops were held in cooperation with Musik i Väst. It was the first time Richard had workshops for teenagers so the start was a bit chaotic. But the second day was better and the third day was a success. The workshop participants created excellent pieces of improvised music using the pre-recorded concrete sounds. [...]
